Minecraft Skins – what’s this?

Skin is a texture of player in Minecraft world. Skin only allow solid color. Pixels can be left free resulting in “holes” in the skin.

How to Change Minecraft Skin?

You can change your character’s skin only if you have purchased Minecraft.
Step by step:

  1. Find skin which you want to use. You can find many awesome Minecraft Skins from a lot of websites that offer this tool. You can create your own custom Minecraft skin too. Just use a picture editing application.
  2. Download Minecraft skin and save it as a standard png file.
    For creating your own skin you can use any image editor as Photoshop, Gimp or MS Paint.
  3. Visit Minecraft.net and log in with your Minecraft account. Next you should click on the profile tab.
  4. Click choose file. Find and select the .png that is your skin, once the file is chosen hit upload, and Enjoy!!

The steve.png (standard skin in Minecraft) file in minecraft.jar can be changed also and replaced for your own skin, but the effects will only be visible to player, and only players with the default skin will appear different.

For editing your custom Minecraft skin you can use special editors. It’s very different pages with Minecraft Skins Editor. Just use Google to find the best for you. If you don’t like use MS Paint or Gimp you should try Skins Editor. It’s easier to create skins with editor.
